Oman Arab Cinema Company LLC and Film City LLC belong to Jawad Sultan Group of Companies, promoted by Mr. Jawad A. Sultan. The promoter’s business history dates back to 50 years in the Sultanate of Oman.

Established in 1971, the company was the first to establish the film exhibition business and owns Al-Nasr, the single largest capacity theatre in Sultanate of Oman.

Lately in August 2002, the company has also set up an ultra modern multiplex cinema complex viz. Al-Shatti Plaza in Shatti Al-qurum in Oman. This complex has 3 screens with an aggregate seating capacity of 640 seats. The latest in sound and acoustics viz. Dolby Digital, DTS and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound equipment (for the first time in Oman), have been installed so as to bring to the discerning audience, the finest in entertainment and viewing pleasure. For the toddlers and young children, an amusement and recreation facility is made available in the basement of the cinema complex.

While, Al- Nasr screens predominantly, films from the subcontinent Al-Shattiplaza focuses itself on the Hollywood and Arabic fare.
